Sana Sabally in Dakar!

The Vice Chairman of former AFPRC military junta, Captain Sana Bairo Sabally has left Germany for Senegal where he is in charge of a German project, House of Hope – Africa: Trauma and Flight.

The project is under Freundeskreis Asyl Kalrsruhe e.V.e (fka), a German NGO which provides through state funding, procedural and social counseling for newly arrived refugees in the state initial reception centers in Karlsruhe and Mannheim in southwest Germany. It also advises immigrants and support social workers and counseling centers in providing asylum-related legal consultations for their clients.

Though it’s not yet clear what date Sabally arrived in Dakar, he has been tasked to oversee the House of Hope, a call in center for refugees repatriated from Europe and third states, particularly Libya. His responsibilities include giving support to the returnees who suffer from trauma or psychological instability. The project is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.

Sabally has been accused by multiple Truth, Reconciliation and Reparations Commission witnesses of taking part in the summary execution of soldiers in the aftermath of the 11 November 1994 alleged coup.

Sabally, who speaks fluent German, travels with a German residence permit.
