Real De Banjul’s new head coach Ebou Jarra has set his eyes on both the League and the FF Cup glory in the 2019/20 season.
Jarra, a former Gambia Armed Forces FC boss was earlier this month unveiled by the club after signing a 4-year contract. He told The Chronicle that his task is to create a team that plays more attractive and attacking football and with a clear identity.
“We will also want to maintain a healthy squad so that we can compete and win trophies,” he said. “I will always strive to win trophies and get more stability in the club.”

Jarra’s goal is also to develop his players and export them to clubs abroad to play professional football. But his first priority is to regain his new club’s lost glory. Real De Banjul last won the National League four years ago.
Ousman Sillah, a fan is hopeful that under Jarra, the capital city team will clinch the league next season. “I’ve high hopes in Jarra. We want a trophy next season.
In 2015, the 52-year old guided Talinding United to the National Division League. He also guided Armed Forces to the League and FA cup titles during his three years stint at the club.
