Abdoulie Bah scored the only goal of the game as Real De Banjul beat Brikama United 1-0 at the Independence Stadium on Sunday.
Bah struck with a low finish into the corner in the 5th minute as the FF cup holders downed the league champions following a cagey contest.
Real De Banjul made the brighter start, however, pushing forward with numbers and taking control of the ball. Kajali Drammeh almost made it two when a well-worked passing move saw him in space 16 yards out, but his thunderous shot was brilliantly tipped around the post by the keeper.
A couple of minutes later, the ‘whites’ were on the attack again with Modou Lamin Demba driving into the box from the right, but he fired his low powerful shot just past the post from 14 yards out.
Brikama United also looked lively in attack with Sainey Bojang coming close to leveling the scores after some great individual play from Lamin Balajo as he beat his marker on his way into the box before shooting off target. They tried to find their way back in the game before the break but were unable to do so as they entered the tunnel trailing by a goal.

The Sateba boys as Brikama United is fondly called, came out strong at the start of the second half and went close to equalizing matters on the hour mark when Sulayman Saho showed great skill to turn and shoot inside the box, but his 16-yard attempt was touched over the bar by goalkeeper Ebrima Jarju.
However, Brikama attempted to mount a comeback and even managed a consolation goal in the 76th minute courtesy of a 22-yard free kick from substitute Ebrima Badjie, but it was too little too late as the game ended 1-0 in favor of Real De Banjul.
Real’s victory sees them pocket D75,000 while defeated finalists Brikama United received D50,000.
