Penda Bah: Move to Nigerian League is a Lifelong Dream

The captain of Gambia’s women football squad, Penda Bah has described her move to a newly promoted Nigerian Women Premier League side as a lifelong dream.

The 21-year-old Bah completed her move to Dream Stars F.C recently from local Interior FC on a one-year deal.

The Gambian Captain teamed up with the Lagos-based club on Thursday after touching down at the Muritala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos.

“I’m very happy to be joining Dream Stars Ladies. I hope to bring my wealth of experience to the team. I am here to help the team. Together we can achieve our objectives”, she told the Dream Stars Ladies Media.

The young attacker made her debut for The Queen Scorpions of Gambia in 2017 and was named the captain of the team in 2018.

Bah scored the Gambia’s first and only goal at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Azerbaijan in 2012.
