The Gambia Volleyball Federation has appointed Marie Wadda Faye as the coach of the national Women’s Beach Volleyball team.
The former Gambia international will have her first spell with the national team in the ANOC world beach games in Qatar in October, where Gambia will participate in the FIVB 4×4 beach volleyball competition.
“It is an honor to be the head coach of the women’s national beach volleyball team, and then to start my coaching career with a world championship showdown,” she said. ‘’The last weeks have been a fantastic experience and I want to thank all of the players and GVBF for the work we’ve done so far,” Wadda commented.
Meanwhile Pa Baboucarr Barrow who recently won gold at the African Games will start preparations for the Olympics qualifiers in October/November.
