Gambian Women Entrepreneurs On The Move: The Launch of A Multi Brand Open House
Isatou Lilly Ceesay, CEO of Lileo Designs, orchestrated the Multi Brand Open House initiative with the aim of bringing Gambian women entrepreneurs under one umbrella and showcasing their brands as a way of empowering and supporting one another to excel in their respective ventures.
The three-day maiden shopping event was held at Kololi and marked with a series of activities with great discounts on all their products ranging from hand bags, shoes, dress, skin care products, makeup products, foods, etc.
“I normally have ‘open house’ once every year and this is actually the third year. This year, I thought of doing something different by bringing other entrepreneurs on board to come together and have one big grand open house and we plan to do this annually.” Said Isatou Lilly Ceesay.

Aminata Jawara, a 26 year old make-up artist and hairdresser applauded the initiative as she believes it will help foster harmony amongst themselves and further strengthen their relationship as well as give Gambian entrepreneurs the platform to promote their brands.
Fatou Njie CEO of TIGA, described Multi Brand Open House as a game changer. She is hopeful that this will be an important milestone in their careers as entrepreneurs. According to Miss Njie, supporting one another is the bedrock for every successful business and seeing people coming out in their promising numbers to support them will ignite the fire in them to do more to satisfy their customers.
For Addi Conteh CEO of DARAJA designs, the event is not only about exhibiting their brands but also to show other women and young entrepreneurs that a group of strong women and creative minds can still come together without intimidating one another.
The MBOH is looking forward to expanding their wings and collaborating with other business women in their subsequent projects.
