Gambian striker Alassana Jatta Wednesday evening scored on his Viborg FF debut in their 2-2 home draw with FC Fredericia in the Danish league.
The 20-year-old joined the Danish top flight club earlier this month on a four-year deal from Estonian side Paide Linnameeskond where he scored 13 goals in 17 appearances.
Jatta came in as a second-half substitute in the 64th minute to give his side a 2-1 lead in the 90th minute before Fredericia leveled in added time.

“It’s a positive way to start my career in Denmark and with Viborg FF in particular,” he tells The Chronicle. “I’m happy to be on the score sheet but also to continue to work hard and deliver for the team.”
“It was nice to score but unfortunately, we couldn’t get the whole three points.”
Comparing life in Denmark to Estonia, the former Real de Banjul attacker said: “The football style is completely new here as we do high pressing and the team is offensive-minded. So it’s something I’m learning and trying to adapt quickly in order to help the team.”
Jatta is expected to be in coach Jacob Neestrup’s starting line-up when they face Nykobing FC on Sunday. Viborg is 2nd in the Danish second tier after picking 11 points in their last five games.
