Brikama United head coach Modou Lamin Nyassi has praised the way his side held their game plan and tactics against Moroccan side Raja Casablanca in Saturday’s 3-3 CAF Champions League match at the Independence Stadium.
The Sateba Boys failed to get a vital home win‚ and must now at least score four goals in the return fixture in a fortnight to progress to the next of the competition.
‘’I am more optimistic now than before, says coach Modou Lamin Nyassi. ‘’We just need to work harder and my target is still reaching group stages.”

‘’We have noted some mistakes that we need to work for all the goals conceded could’ve been avoided so we will work on that hopefully we will do better there.”
Over 5000 fans gathered at the stadium Saturday to cheer Brikama United. Among them Ebou Njie who believed the players showed their Moroccan counterparts too much respect. “When you play Raja Casablanca you have to respect them. But I think we gave them too much respect,” he said. Now it’s going to difficult to kill the tie in Morocco because. It won’t be easy for Brikama United.”
For Local Coach Lamin Sanneh, Brikama United must improve in both attack and defense.

“To be honest, it’s going to be difficult for Brikama to beat Raja in Morocco. This is a team that held a (Spanish) La Liga side to a goalless draw at home before playing Brikama United. The other aspect is the fitness of our players. They are not currently playing in the league, so some of them might lack the required fitness.
