Gambian referee Bakary Gassama has been chosen to officiate Gabon vs Egypt clash in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
After a first game 1-0 win against Angola, the Pharaohs will be visiting Gabon on Sunday, September 5th, in their second FIFA World Cup qualifications group stage game.
The confrontation will be a major step in Egypt’s journey to the 2022 Qatar World Cup after the historic qualification to the previous edition in Russia.
CAF announced that Gabon vs Egypt clash will be under the supervision of the Gambian referee Bakary Gassama.
Egypt will be going into the game with their Premier League starts Mohamed Salah and Mohamed Elneny after they missed the opening game due to COVID-19 restrictions.
The next qualifications game for the Egyptians will be against Lybia in a month from now on Wednesday, October 6th.
